This Privacy Policy explains how YaBot ("YaBot," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you interact with our AI front-desk assistant, including over our website chat widget, WhatsApp, and SMS/text messaging (collectively, the "Service"). It applies both to businesses that use YaBot and to the customers who message a business through YaBot.

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with the Service, we may collect:

Contact information — such as your name, phone number, email address, or business name, provided directly by you or by the business you're messaging.
Message content — the content of conversations you have with the assistant over chat, WhatsApp, or SMS/text, so it can generate accurate answers and route the conversation appropriately.
Usage and device data — such as pages visited, general location (derived from IP address), browser/device type, and timestamps.
Business catalog data — product, service, and pricing information that a business provides so the assistant can answer accurately on their behalf.

2. How we use information

To operate the Service and respond to messages sent over chat, WhatsApp, or SMS/text.
To determine when a conversation should be routed or scheduled for a call with the business's team.
To send account, appointment, and transactional messages related to a conversation you started.
To maintain and improve the accuracy and reliability of the assistant.
To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues.
To comply with legal obligations.

SMS/text messaging data. No mobile information — including phone numbers and SMS opt-in or consent status — is sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is used solely to operate the messaging program you or your customers have opted into, and is shared only with subprocessors (such as our messaging and hosting providers) strictly as needed to deliver the Service, or as required by law.

3. How we share information

We share information only with:

The specific business you are messaging, so they can respond to and fulfill your request.
Service providers who help us operate the Service (e.g., messaging carriers, cloud hosting, and AI infrastructure providers), bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
Authorities, where required to comply with the law, enforce our terms, or protect rights, property, or safety.

4. Your choices

Opt out of SMS/text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. You'll receive one final confirmation message, and no further messages will be sent unless you opt in again.
Get help at any time by replying HELP to any message, or by contacting us at support@yabot.app.
Access, correct, or delete your information by contacting us at support@yabot.app. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law.

5. Data retention

We retain conversation and contact data for as long as needed to provide the Service, support the business relationship it relates to, and meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

6. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
